    2000 200 efi

    2000 Mercury 200 EFI
Purchased in 2019 from original owner on a Triton FS21. Very clean great running motor. Upon purchase, I replaced spark plugs, both voltage regulators (one was swelled/cracked) and ECM (it was giving me an intermittent bogging issue) with a Brucato unit. Impeller changed every other year. It'll turn my 23 Tempest Plus in the upper 5's and 6,000 in good air on the Triton.
Deciding to go new technology and replacing with a 225 Pro XS.
    Comes with:
    * Complete engine.
    * Control box (panel mount) with harnesses, key switch, shift, and throttle cable.
    * Oil tank and all hoses.
    * 21" 3 blade Mercury prop (can't remember which prop) that came with it.
    * Seastar steering helm, hoses, and cylinder with no leaks and performs just fine.
    Issues:
    * Gear case will gain just a bit of water after 5 or 6 outings. Just enough to milk up the oil at the plug after sitting. I usually change it every 3 or 4 outings (8-10 hours).
    * One of the trim cylinders started leaking around the rod when trimming down so I resealed both. If either develop a leak again, the cylinder glands will have to be replaced since I messed up the spanner wrench holes when removing them (crap design). At this time, no leaks or bleed down.
Will be available in a month or so and can hear it run before the marina pulls it off to mount the new motor, or I can video it. I can have them do a compression and leak down also.
Asking $5,000 (Located in St. Louis, MO)

Hi. I am curious about the Brucato ACU. I have the exact same motor. What kind of performance gains did you notice, if any, when you changed the ECM? Is it worth the expense? Thanks. And Good luck with the sale. P.S. You might want to ad where you are located.

I wish I could give you a comparison, but the original ECU was bad when I purchased the boat. I had them set the limiter to 6200 when I ordered it. Thanks, Mark.

Anyone know if this power head will drop on a 15" mid and exhaust plate setup for a 260 2.5?

It will yes. You have to plug the 4 dump holes in the cowl pan so the poppit functions properly and change the 4 aft studs to longer ones.

    Never mind on this OB,
I will not do business with you.
The contact you give me, your "Buddy" (Archjo86@gmail.com) about a Viper.
    He tried to scam me.
But he was stupid to send pic's of the Viper with the hull numbers showing.
He said he was from Maine and purchased it FROM Maine, with 2023 sticker on it.
But after I got the reply from Michigan DMV, The viper is still in Michigan and registered there.
I got proof to back this up!!

Ya, the guy trying to sell it to me says he in Maine.
    (NOT Champ201)
However, Champ201 DID give me his contact information (email)
2 + 2 does = 4.......but I'm not judging here, YOU make your own assumptions!
