Electric. Starts at $61K. Range is 231-234 which is nothing special.

It has a weird way of simulating the old VW bus. You have to drive crazy slow to get decent range. The original VW bus just was crazy slow.

All the iterations of these buses are everywhere on the west coastlines. If you played the slugbug game with em on US 1/101, you'd be in the ER for broken arms. They're cool rides, and super practical.

For resale, I'd think the hybrid would be a better option. My guess is most people want to travel and explore with them, which makes EV less desirable. TBH, I'd prefer a Chevy Savanna or Dodge cube van. More bang for the buck, and you can build it out more to your liking. None of the successors have the charm of the OG VW bus. And I think Gabriel Iglesias owns them all.

Man, I had forgotten that--and I had a '65 Beetle, but the chirp got replaced by an Empi exhaust pretty early.

I parked next to one the other day- nice but the old school bus can’t be beat. I didn’t know it was electric and the price is high- I like the idea of no gas but not sold on it at all- gas engine and it would be ok and 40k price tops
