Wanted Merc 2.5liter intake
Currently doing a 2.5 225hp Promax with 260hp port spec sleeves build and looking for an intake something along the lines of the mad efi intake but would consider even going crank case injected depending what i find what do y'all have and what do you recommend.

good luck on your search. I would try to find a 260 small bearing front but they are hard to find. Mad EFI are cool but also hard to find and you will have to test and find a fuel curve that will work well with it.

throttle response. Just seems the laser is sluggish VS crankcase injection. I do see some very strong laser motors on FB so it must be able to be done, I just have not spent that time on running my 225 that I keep as a backup to my 280.

I can second that. The throttle response is quite lazy with my laser too. It’s runs out hard up top though so it’s not terrible it’s just a little boring. The lower unit is probably thankful for it. I have seen threads with guys who installed larger butterflies in the laser intake and had good things to say.
