Well CRAP friends!!
The day has come I never thought I would mutter these five words "MY ALLISON IS FOR SALE". I suffered a darn stroke 3 years ago. I have hoped so much that in time I would get well enough to enjoy my boat once again. Unfortunately that has not happened and my health issues have continued to deterioate. It bothers me to see my baby sitting under cover for all these years but I just haven;'t been able to listing it for sale. My daughter told me something that kinda hit home. She told me "i should let someone else enjoy owning it as i have. Flying down the lake, coming to the dock and other boaters and spectators come over and look and full of questions. I have had many toys but none like my Allison. You owners know what I mean. Anyway, I'm just about unless now, can"t drive and will have trouble polishing uo the boat. Let me tell you about. It is a 1999 XB2002. I will check on the weight but I believe 815 lbs? It is pearl white with burgundy accent strips. Hydraulic steering, Sorry guys I am a little slow and get confused, easily. lets see, I believe model Helix 10MSA on pedestal for front seat viewing, fits on console also, 2 fish finders in console, batteries are all good sorry I can't get up there to get age, boat cover, tandum trailer with brakes, carpet and seat covers all have been replaced. Most of all she is pushed by a 280 Merc that has 26 hours on it since complete rebuild by power performance marine (rings, pistons, bearings etc etc. I had Hoss prop make a true 27 pitch prop for me. Runs 108mph @0300 rpm. I have run it at the drags a couple times 11 seconds flat 104mph, 8300 rpm. It is running a 10,000 rpm limiter ECU.Tandum I don't think I can put pictures on here but i can send them by email or text. Please don't send private messages as I have some trouble getting them to work. You can call or text me at 940-783-1236. I bought the boat from my best friend and he was second owner. Original owner had it in a garage for 8 years. I have had itinerary garage for i have had it my garage in Tennessee for 10 years. In the water twice after refresh rebuild. It doesn't need a thing, if it did it would have it PERIOD!! No cracks or scratches, 20" midsection with OMC stainless foil. I could go on for a long time about it and buyer don't be shocked when you drive off with it if you look back and see an 80 year old man with tears coming dow his face. I guess we all only have so much time here and my time maybe getting shorter. I can't leave my 82 year old wife with responsibility of selling the boat and no one to help.
Oh I forgot, I fisher tournaments fro years back in the 90s. I have a ton of fishing equipment that has to go with boat. Also these parts, 280 ECU 10,000 limiter, DDT Recorder, set of 280 heds ran once, o ring head gaskets, reeds, fuel pump I can't use so all my spare parts go.
Guys I am wanting $39,000 for EVERYTHING Located in central Florida Give me a call, 940-783-1236 I like talking boats, especially Allisons (i have had several)Last edited by bill mason; 11-24-2024 at 12:11 PM.

Well Mr. Mason I am so sorry for you to have to make this post. My Dad used to say there is a time for everything to go and you usually know when it is, it is just hard to accept. I do think your daughter is correct. I wish you the best of luck with the sale and more importantly with your health. I know the day will come when I either sale my 02 or pass it to a family member. Prayers that you recover and start looking for a XB21 in the future Sir.

Pretty cool boat. If you e mail pictures I would post them here. Actually it’s pretty easy to post pictures, so maybe you can manage it.
Good luck with the sale

Wow.
Hate reading this sir.
I am now 65 yrs old old and fighting health issues as well.
Old age sucks.
I have always had a similar view to your daughter.
When I can’t enjoy it anymore, it’s time for someone else to.
Like most things in life, often the hardest part is making the decision.
Best of luck sir!
GaryI'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Parting with my Allisons has been tough. You have to own one to understand. Sold many STVs, Hydrostreams, and countless others without an issue but those Ally's are hard to part with. Understand the health issues too as do most folks my age. I even put my Harley up for sale as it just ain't safe for me to ride anymore which really sucks cuz Harley values have plummeted. At least I still have a few slow boats to get me to my fishing holes so it could be worse. Wish you good luck with your sale Bill.

Hello Bill: I don't know you but at 76 years old I am grateful for the time I have had on this earth. At one time I sold a very large collection of Japanese swords back to a man from Japan and I had tears in my eyes when he started to leave. He asked me what was wrong and I said it was sad to see my swords leaving. He said they we're never mine and were just going home to Japan. He said we are just caretakers in time. He also told me this old Japanese proverb and it helps me all the time. Be not possessed by your possessions. I am sure it saddens you to think about your boat but I am sure that someone will be grateful to you for your knowledge and in making your boat special. They will remember you always for that. God gave you something that very few people ever get to experience. The memories will take care of you.
