Which Mid length Better?

Been awhile since I posted here, getting ready for my next project.
Trying to find a viper, but for now, getting my motor setup right.

What is the best length mid to be installed on a viper?

Not looking go 100 mph,
But would like to be in the 70's.

What on YOUR viper?

I am not new to boats, but I am not an expert by a long shot.
However, what do you mean by "Safer."
Curious YOUR meaning.

All of the above. Lowering the center of gravity makes a big difference. I was not convinced till I used one. On my STVs I had two of the transoms cut to accommodate the shorter mid and on my Allisons I used a manual jack plate reversed; I think. Don't recall buying a special plate for the shorter mid.

I didn't even think about the the CG!
But then , I've never owned a viper either.
