    1974 MErcury 150 Hp

For Sale- 1974 Mercury 150 Hp outboard.
Serial number 3914508 on the midsection ID plate, service replacement block so no S/N on it. The motor was 100% disassembled and restored to factory new or better condition. The block is still standard bore within .003 of nominal spec. New rings, several pistons (all high dome), all bearings, seals, fuel lines, gaskets, etc. every bolt hole tapped and cleaned, reed blocks lapped and factory steel reeds installed. Pistons weighed and matched within 4 grams of each other. Block received a light hone. Rods were inspected and light hone on both ends. Loctite applied to rod bolts and torqued to spec.
Everything including the block, mid-section and lower unit was media blasted to bare metal and then baked on primer and three coats of acrylic Urethane automotive was applied.
Carbs and fuel pump completely cleaned and reassembled with new needles and seats, gaskets. Jet size .080. Every fuel line is new.
Has a newer model Mercury trigger that doesn’t crap out like the old unpotted ones do. Internal wiring harness and stator wires are in perfect condition. No expense was spared.
The lower unit was completely disassembled, cleaned, inspected, several new bearings and re shimmed. New water pump. Has a newer style swept skeg (no welds) lower unit that is not original to the motor. Solid motor mounts installed. Cavitation plate has 4 bolt holes in it from having a whale tail installed previously.
Short 15-inch midsection (no welds) with power trim rams. New 1975 decals installed as I like them the best for the mid 1970’s inlines. Regular factory cowl, all latches work, no sound insulation on the wrap around cowl. Polished front face plate.
Motor has a couple hours run time on a test stand. This motor has never been on a boat since the restoration was completed. It will need a full break-in.
No controls, gas tank, power trim lines, pump or propellor included.
Can provide more pics, details and video is requested. Will answer all questions.
Sold as is where is in Rockledge Florida zip 32955.
    Price - $5000
I might crate at Buyers expense. The last crate I built cost $500 for materials and labor to the buyer. The buyer would be responsible for making all shipping arrangements.
