Nitra Chaudron Bernico - 21' x 6' in the US

If you wanted an F3 Waterski race style boat. 24+ degree deadrise, <6ft beam 20-22ft.

    Where would you look?

I plan to rebuild into a side console skiff with 115-140hp. I know no one else in the world wants a boat like this, but I do.

Long term pipe dream. Nothing I could start for a year or so.

That’s a very unique looking boat. I don’t know anything about these but wouldn’t a Progressions 22 or similar type boat suit the very same purpose? The hull dimensions you outlined are very similar.

I am from CT. My father is still there. The boat is mostly for him, but I have a feeling I'll be paying for a lot of it.

I'm in SC. Do you have a shop in CT?

Nice looking boats. Probably going to be hard to find an old used one here. Here is one in California. Click on the picture. Phone number is at the bottom.

I like the F3 better than F2. Planning to power with 115hp-140hp

    Nitra 22SSO looks pretty cool

Hallet f2 cyclone molds are out there somewhere, not a 24 degree though. You can buy a 22 Chaudron, that's the closest to the spec you mentioned.

you could find an old 24/7 hull, many guys made them and cut it down, section it. And you'd be close to the spec you wanted.

    Depends on your budget.

Do you know what the beam was on the Hallett F2? And they had an F3 as well?

I think 20 degrees would be enough for what I want to do. Anything will be better than the 12 degrees that most of the fish boats in this size have.

I don't like that the shorts boats don't look like the big boats because the proportions are changed. I like the fishing boats around 30ft with around 8'6" beam ie; Superboat 30, Contender 28T, SeaVee 290, Rabco 28, Rambo 27, Intrepid 322, Scarab (Older) 302, Whitewater 32, etc.

    30/8.5 ≈ 3.5 --- 21/6 = 3.5

A smaller 30 superboat at the same proportions would be 21ft x 6ft. I know it will be tippy. I fish out of a canoe a lot. I don't mind it. I'd rather be able to run fast through chop.
