260 re-nikasil cost?

What is the going cost to re-nik all six cylinders on a 260 Block/

My dad sent a 280 block out a couple years ago, just needed nik in one sleeve and it took like 8 months to get it back. Didn't ask him how much it cost though.

Call LA sleeve. Nikasil cylinder is on the 2 stroke order form. They have sleeves for everything. Should be like $2000 +/- 500. Go through a reputable engine builder/machinist, not straight to a big company like LA Sleeve. Its worth it to pay a couple hundred extra and have someone else deal with the guys re-plating in the case where it comes back with bad plating.

AND, aluminum coated sleeves are about 550-600 each if not more. so all 6 you got 3000+ in sleeves plus having to put them all in. Sometimes the sleeves are just fine, just the hole is 3.502-3 where it should be 3.501 from the factory or even less for some guys that build some screamers.

Carter, I talked to Mag machine about two weeks ago and he told me that he charges $1600 as long as all the sleeves are ok and he doesn't have to do any other work.
