    Fun cat

Hi guys I’m new here. I looking for some info as to where the gas tank should be mounted in a 13 foot fun cat. I’m doing a full restoration have the top side off i am wondering if the gas tank should be in the front or the back it is currently in the back of the boat.

I know nothing about fun cats, but the answer is almost always gas tank at the rear. It’s probably especially true for 13’ boats, as the driver weight is a larger percentage of the total weight then in a 20’ boat, and the driver is not at the back.

13-20’ is the zone of boats that I have owned, and nothing outside that range is compelling to me.

I had funcat few yrs back , had a 70 hp 15 inch omc ran around 60 + I moved the tank forward . Also have you ever driven one ? Beware as they roll over easily until on plane while tunnel is wet . back in the day a magazine tested a funcat , they rolled it few times that day . Once on plane its rock steady
