He was a hoot!
He would call me out of the blue to talk about all the old crap we used to play with.
Always told me of his OMC stuff, “come and take all you want”!
Im sorry I never took advantage of the offer to get a chance to sit and tell lies!
God speed my friend!I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Very Touching
I vaguely remember meeting Dave and his brother Charles at Wantagh Park in the mid seventies
They were testing that “All American “ jet drive Hydrostream
I was only about 12-13, but it left a lasting impression on me
As fate would have it, I ended up buying a 1963 Daimler SP-250 from Charles in the early 80’s
Rest In Peace, Dave
You are sorely missed

Dave and I used to talk monthly. Always kidding him about the lost stuff he didn’t know he had. He always kidding me about the Elton race boat that would take 6 weeks to dig out. I will miss our conversations……….. rest easy Sir Dave………

I am so sorry to learn this.
Dave has been a member here from the very beginning, having registered here in May, 2001. He was what I call the 'founding fathers' of this site. I am very sad.
