Lamda adapters on a 2 piece plate

Thought it would be handy to build a specific midsection for dyno testing my own power heads and other ones without removing everything from my boat
This mid is from an older 2 liter engine and does not have the water tube in the way that is there to cool the tuner
On this type it is installed on the side but also has a hole to route water from the dump hole to the backside to feed the 4 cooling holes
There is space between the inner and outer wall from the top adapter plate, this is filled with aluminium epoxy
2 holes with M14 threads are drilled and tapped so these brass adapters could be mounted there
Next are aluminium housings with M18 threads for the lamda sensors

Are you talking about trying to measure actual Lambda. The sensors dont take kindly to two stroke operation and the sensors life is extremely limited and lead to false readings so dont do any lambda fuel corrections unless you know you have a good reading. Either use exhaust gas temperature or a 5 gas analyzer or read the plugs.

Well i have been doing it the last 20 years and i call BS
Idle part is tricky but when you get to proper loop scaveging it works just as good and with EGT have a very good way to narrow it down

I loaned mine out several times for extensive 2-stroke dyno testing and none of us had any problems. The sensors maybe won't go "50,000 miles" like in a car... but neither will the motors we were building!

Let's just go ahead and make America great again!
