Is it actually turning off or is the screen going blank?

Look for settings for eARC or CEC that have to do with your HDMI connection... basically one HDMI device can turn on/off of "sleep"the other device. You might just try a normal non-ARC HDMI cable if you can't figure out the settings?

It's possible that the power settings are causing an issue. Try adjusting the power plan to prevent the laptop from shutting down when connected to the projector.

its not going black or void, it just turned off or sometimes if it doesn't turn off, projector isn't connected.

You should first plug in the cable to the port on both your laptop and the projector after identifying the cable (HDMI, DVI, or VGA).
