Mercury mid section compatibility.
This winter I'm ditching the 88' 100 for a bit more power. Preferably a late 80's 135. I have found a good deal on twin 135's that's local, one in good condition and the other blown but great for a parts motor or build down the road. Problem with this set and most 135's I find is the 25" shaft. I know it's a very long shot but there's no chance the 135 would bolt up to the mid section of the 100 I currently have? If this has been discussed before please let me know. Been searching and can't find any info.
Thanks in advance
