You must have some super old seastar ram. Can you post a pic of the parts you have? I have a bin full of seastar ram parts, so I probably have what you need. But its gonna be hard for me to match everything up without having the pieces you have in my hands...but I may be able to.

Hey j, your back, i have to put the brakes on the bp, for now. my flooded home is draning me, big time, 6'' of salt water. the ram i have must be old,but it looks new, hc 5441, instead of a single pivot bolt, it uses a slot, with square bushing that slides, asthe engine turns. i found that bracket on ebay and the cast ears r&l. i need the supp rod goes thru tilt tube and slide hdwr, square bushing, washers,2metal2nylon. s star wants hundreds, there nuts. i paid 35 for ebay plate. 5star marine here, wouldnt sell me the parts only if rebuild 350+250 for used parts. OOOPS HC 5342 itom going to set the skater up with a 150 i had on a stand for years, to see if i like the ride, before i bolt on some real power.if you still have the bp. now i have no power out of the control box, but have elect choke, and starter. cant tell if i have ignition harness looks perfect, inside control box looks factory, pig tail dead, key feels good, engine end 100% ohm p tail, all 5 good, thanks Art.

Yeah you do have a really old one. I probably have the parts though. That support rod is a different length than the modern ones...I found that out when I tried to swap some parts around and nothing worked. Almost nothing is interchangeable between the old ram and the new ones. I will look in my bin tomorrow.

i hope the cast brackets are interchangeable. if the old rod is shorter, i could have the longer one turned down.? new prices are just insane. it cost 38$ for bolts/nuts jplate & engine bolts. Thanks Art.

if you are looking for parts that SeaStar (Dometic) will not sell alone, call Boat Steer Solutions in North Venice, FL. They will sell any part, pivot plates for different brand motors, rods, end caps, brackets. They will sell ya what you need.

Got my ebay brackets. seller figured no one will use these ancient brackets, but there are exactly what i needed. they allow me to use a standard late model support rod. 161/2'' Any body have one hanging around?
