20 foot 1978 Jones Tunnel
(Note Price Drop) I have a 1978 Jones 20 foot Tunnel hull for sale.It has been in enclosed covered storage (not dust free lol) since 2009. I had plans to restore it for historical and personal reasons but never got around to it. While obviously it needs paint and general refurbishment the hull is sound and no major performance issues. It had a big block originally in it but they were having so much trouble with it. They pulled it out and plan to put an outboard on it. I do know it went like 106 miles an hour with a big block. as you can see from the photos. It has a partial older outdrive on it and a transmission inside which you may not be able to see. The boat is on the eastern shore of Maryland I live in Southern California.
The trailer is two axle in pretty rough shape. You could probably tow the boat as long as you redo the bearings and put new tires on. There is a way to load it onto a flatbed on the property if necessary. I am asking $7000. (dropping price to $5,000) My price is firm.

Hey guys, two sales actually fell through recently on this so it is still available! A great winter project, and as most of you know 100 plus mph rough water capable hull that turns on a dime. I may be willing to negotiate on price a bit need to get it out of storage unit as soon as I can.
Thanks!!

Dropping price to $5,000 mostly because of need to get it out of storage that is three thousand miles from me! I will remove the thread if it doesn't sell this month. Price is definitley firm now. Merry Christmas for somebody!

Ok guys this boat still needs a Home, slightly flexible on price not desperate, but I do want it out of storage soon!
As most of you know a fantastic all around boat for lakes or rougher water conditions! It is structurally very sound but obviously needs updating, paint and would be a better performer with an outboard.
only about 50 made over four years getting very scarce!
Thanks!

My dad's friend had brand new one of these Jones tunnel boats. He was the owner of Salt Aire marina back in the late 70's early 80's. I remember he wanted to become a dealer for the boats. I am 99% sure his was an outboard. He was an Evinrude dealer. I am pretty sure he had a 235 on it.
