Is there a thread or a web site that describes all three poppet configurations?

The two Bridgeport blokes have got me thinking (again) about the various poppet designs. I think I read here that there are three.

Searching for a thread here that describes all three had been challenging. Same with googling for an article about it outside of S&F.

I’ve got a 1987 2.0/150 that has the two-bolt “puck” with no water outlet barb, and a 1990 2.4/200 that has two chamber “dog bone” style with a water outlet barb. But I don’t know anything about the third type. Maybe my memory is wrong and there isn’t one?

Idk if three exist? I do know that on the 4 hole covers, merc used two different styles of diaphragm. The old style 64877, and the newer style 14479, which has a metal reinforced edge. The wrong diaphragm might cause leakage if used with wrong housing? The only two hole cover I've messed with had the older diaphragm, and didn't seem like it was going to seal well with the newer style diaphragm either. Maybe that counts for three?
