I am coming up with different number. Four 3/16" holes added together is one .375" hole (3/8" hole).

I could be wrong but formula is: Diameter of one of the drilled holes x Square Rood of the number of holes total. (.1875x SqRt(4)=.375)

Either way I would work more on water temp VS water pressure.

Okay i was doing (4 holes) x (3/16) equals (12/16) which in simplest form is (3/4)… I had talked with dwayne roberie and he recommends 22 lbs but yes i agree. His temp problem could also be coming from no diverters? I know what i have now is working so he’ll eventually get it

No, you need to leave room on each side for water to flow all the way around the hose diverter you put in. They go in 3 and 5 at the 10 oclock position 2 and 4 at the 2 oclock position (shown in the picture above). Cut them 1/4" shorter than the total depth of the water jacket leave 1/8" on the top and the bottom of the diverter. Water needs to flow around the diverter. Nice soft 3/8 cheap auto store fuel hose works. Marine stuff is too big or OD. 5/16 hose even fits good.

I put them in all motors, steel, nikasil, chrome.

i did the same thing 7 or 8 years ago.. put on a 1 piece plugged orignal holes redrilled and just added 1 hole on each side.. not 2.. but i have no water pressure at idle and none comes out the heads unless reved up and just slightly dribbles.. and have 60psi water pressure at shop.. but soon as i put it in water sumerged it starts peeing instantly.. motor runs 15-18psi at wide open throttle and 140-145 temp perfect all the time.. motor is a cut up 225 promax with 2.4 bridge port front half to fit.. 260 horn and 16 amp flywheel and electronics.. also to add motor never gets hot on hose though it dont pee so pretty weird but find a solution id be curious to know my self...
