Clear on charger 18dl

My charger 18dl doesn’t seem to have gel coat on it. Scratches really easy and if u polish the blue colour on the sides it comes off on the cloth. If it had clear coat or gel coat it should not show on cloth? should I look at getting the boat gel coated?

There is no clear over gel originally, the colour is in the gelcoat when it's sprayed in the mould. If it's allowed to oxidize the colour comes off on your cloth because you're removing the oxidized gel. Wet sand and polish will most likely bring it all back if it isn't too far gone
