Warhawk Performance Boats: Post them up!

Starting this post to see how many of these are still out there. Whether you or a current or past owner, please post pics and any info about the boat. I will start off with mine. It is a 2007 TX-20 O.B. This hull has never been in the water nor has it had fuel in the tanks. I will be rigging it with my 1998 Pro Max 300 over the fall and plan to have it ready to go next spring! The info that I have gathered so far is that about 200 of these outboard models have been produced. Only two of which have this purple and white color scheme.

I remember seeing the ads in Hotboat Mag. years ago. Never saw an outboard in person but there was a guy who had a jet in S.W. Michigan.

Beautiful rig. Now tell the story behind a 16 year old boat that's never been dipped. There's gotta be a good story.

I found the boat online as I had been searching for a hull to replace my fully rebuilt 94' Liberator 19 that had been damaged in a garage fire caused by an electric golf cart. Found this in Guin, AL. The previous owner was an employee and friend of Warhawk Performance Boats owner, Jim Robertson. It is my understanding that this boat was used as a marketing tool to showcase the newer TX-20 Outboard model. When the company's doors closed he procured the boat from Jim. Being an avid drag boat racer with multiple other boats he covered it up with multiple tarps and put it in a barn where it has sat since 2010. This is a true barn find! One of those that you hear someone else tell the story about and wish you were lucky enough to come across yourself. Well, I guess someone above was looking out for me after the tragic loss of the Liberator. I never thought I would be lucky enough to be one of the few to have a barn find of my own. This has truly helped ease the pain of the loss of the Liberator. Truly blessed and good story too!

I'd love to see some updated pics and narrative about the rigging out. Got much done in the last couple months?

Unfortunately not anything to show yet. We are actually presently moving back in to our house after 10 m9nths of fighting with the insurance company. I plan to get moving on it once we get settled in. Thanks for your interest.

I'm interested in purchasing a used TX-20. What should I look out for in terms of common issues or maintenance concerns with this model?

Best wishes on returning to a normal life after your home fire. I can't even imagine the stress that would cause. I'm happy that you were able to acquire this Warhawk and look forward to progress reports.

Thank you! Yes, it's been a quite an experience to say the least. 10 months away and just now moved back in to house. Working 7 days a week right now for the next 3 weeks. Wil be putting in some time on it as soon as I go back to my normal work schedule.

Been making some progress lately. Mounted the jack plate and mid-section. Laid out and drilled hoses for bulkhead fittings for the steering and trim hoses. Have the battery, battery switch, battery cables, fuel/water separator, fuel lines, trim pump, trim pump solenoids, oil tank and hoses, and steering hoses mounted. Just got the cowling and bottom pan back from paint (Phantom Black with Purple pearl) and installed "MERC" decals. Custom made trim hoses from Billy over at Moreland Hose came in today. Now I can mount the powerhead and make all of the connections. Hope to test fire this weekend.

Trim hoses installed and rigging tubes stuffed. Starting to come together now. Once powerhead is on I can hook up battery cables and tie up any loose hanging wires.Click image for larger version.
