ID:	519594I was checking the thermostats on my optimax. All is well there but I noticed this wire unplugged. Not sure if I did it or if was already unplugged prior. Working on these is somewhat new to me so I’m taking it one step at a time.
should I plug it back in or is purposely unplugged? Thanks in advance for the help, mechanics are impossible to get this time of year so I’m taking on much more than I have in the past. Good news, I’m handy and don’t my asking questions.

Temp sender for air pump. Plug them in. The overheat warning system averages the temps of each sender for the pcu to adjust to temp for best operation. Fuel enrichment etc. Solid tan one can be used as a temp sender for a gauge.

Any chance this is the reason I felt like the motor was running hotter than normal with muffs this morning? It seemed hot so I was checking the thermostats. They came back fine. Maybe it’s something with this plug?

The pee stream is from the air pump. Check the temp of the water coming out. If it feels hot, you may have a clogged intake screen. Hose from air pump goes down on lower port side of engine to screen / nipple fitting. The t-stats open at 130-140.
You have a temp gauge? They run about 140 normally.

    Thx
pee stream was strong. Water was around 70 degrees. I’ll check the intake screen though just in case.
I don’t have a temp gauge. Thinking it’s an addition that’s needed though.
