My buddy has a Big Avocado Tree.
He went and purchased a metal-cage trap, to relocate the squirrels which were eating the avocados on his tree.
Years ago, him and I were going to visit a friend's house, and we took the latest catch then, and released the squirrel in an adjacent city.
I was just over at his house for a Memorial Weekend barbecue, and his father-in-law told me the squirrels are still eating the avocados.
My friend years-ago quit trapping the squirrels, because there are too many of them in our city's neighborhood.

Spray soapy water on the avacado's and the varmits will not like them anymore. Soaps harmless but will make them sick.

Where is the part where someone yells "pull" which is followed by shotguns going off?
I have some timber behind my house and when Dad was alive he kept the squirrel population down but now he is gone and the squirrels are out of control. I trapped a few and took them into town leaving one at Walmart, one at Menards, and the other near my doctors office. They are destructive little critters.
