Jim Hurtubise was a hometown Legend, he owned the largest car service center in town, and built his own stuff.
He did set the track record one year.
He got his hands burned real bad in one accident, front engine car, and the doctors said he would never have use of his hands again, so in what position does he want his hands left in, He said so I can drive a race car, he never stopped racing, moved to NASCAR

That's pretty cool.
One of our local residents was owner or part owner of a pacemaker company and the company use to be a sponsor on one of the top teams back in the 1980's.-----------------------
