the stainless nuts, bolts and tray were all together when they were embedded into the resin

the alignment of the bolts pattern is perfect

the bolts and nuts prep included wax application, the tray was wrapped in clear plastic , the bed inside the flooring was lined with aluminum and paper to prevent the heat from the epoxy from melting the foam-core as the resin is curing

the bed of resin is larger than the hole (made on the flooring) so that the bed acts as an anchor. Will not pull out when the bolts are tightened

pictured below is the battery tray , upside down, with the 4 T-nuts showing

working on aluminum bench leg's mount. I can screw this down with stainless screws and caulking in about 10 mins.

But that's a no-no when your hull is foam and wood under the flooring.

    Designing a puck-mount system

Thinking of making a hockey-puck-like base mount , glass that in, then mount the alum bench on it...no screws!

the puck will be hollow to enable nuts and bolts to hold down the bench while the puck is glassed into place on the flooring

What about an aluminum circle glassed into the floor and then drill and tap for the screws?

    thanks Laser,

That is a good solution. I'm trying to do a test in the hockey puck mount to see if my heavy ash will be held by 4 inch puck-sized fiberglass area

    we'll see
