    2.4 200 merc. oct 1990 build. at least 1 bad bore. $1000? 100? 50? free?

is there anybody who messes with these who is in a position to sleeve or plate this block? or should i get 10 cents a pound for it? costs 120 to ship to california. is it worth 150 tp 200 total to anybody? not tryna make a buck, i just hate to scrap something and then find out somebody had a use for it. so, if you click on this and feel it is worthless, don't just click off. spend the 20 seconds it takes to tell me it is scrap. thanks.

i drove 100 miles to get a 150 that had hydraulic steering on it for 400. turns out it was a decent motor, put a lower i had on it and re-sold it. this 89 200 was right near by for 300 more. since i drove all the way up there i grabbed it too. wasted 300 bucks. split lower. 25 inch mid. bad trim pump. and i knew the motor had low compression in 1 hole, which makes these blocks scrap metal. i have the powerhead, ignition complete. 40 amp stator, water cooled rectifier-regulator, ign boxes, coils, cowl, reeds, WH 46 carbs. unless you are willing to sleeve a hole or 3, this block is scrap. some racers may. that is why i put it up here. people say this is a 300 buck crankshaft. but i don't see any selling. they say people will want the horiz reed setup. so far no takers. thought i had the carbs sold. thought i had the cowl sold. the motor came with an old style 2.0 powerhead which seems good to go. i now have 2 heads for it. powerhead is well worth the 100 buck asking price. but i may scare up a seized motor and put this powerhead in it if somebody doesn't buy it.

TTT. chris carson quoted me 200 for 1 sleeve. so if you sink 1200 into it, you have a steel sleeve 2.4. or 2.5 version of the 2.4. i have a lot of small parts too. crank-rods, stators, 40 amp flywheels, coils, WH22 carbs and 95 200 carbs. and one water cooled reg-rectifier that everybody hates and is really expensive. but cheap here.
