Blackhawk drive with all three sets of props - sell or use on a Cat?.
Hi. Hope this is in the right section...can someone help me out here, I have a Blackhawk drive that came off my Schiada project, I am going to probably put the Schiada back to an Outboard or sell her as-is. Will make a for sale post soon.
I want to ask if this drive will work / suited to work on my 2002 26ft Firehawk Cat with the 496HO (currently running the stock Bravo 1 leg).
I am not too sure, as where the Blackhawk sits in the water to where the Bravo 1 does, not sure if its too high to use on the Cat?, this is why i am asking for some info and help please as i can't remember seeing a Blackhawk fitted up to a Cat?. (Pics welcome!).
The Blackhawk is in great condition as its only been used for approx 1.5hrs while testing my Schiada, that's all it has done as was a new and unused unit.
I also have all three sets of props (i know right!) for it too.
Also, anyone have any idea what this drive and the three sets of props is worth please?....if i was to try and sell i would like to know a fair price for the drive and all props as a package.
I would love to use the drive on the Cat, one because it looks awesome and two if it will push the Cat faster and faster i'm all for that, and having the different props too i can really have some fun trying different props and see how it goes. But, if its not going to sit right in the water and do what it's meant to on the back of the cat to perform, i won't as don't want to mess up the drive or the Cat handling either!.
Thanks for any help. Pics below...

You haven't provided enough info to get a good answer.
You will need to do some measuring. Where is the drive mounted on existing set up. If it is running well this drive will likely be too high.
Measure your both drives from input shaft to prop shaft. The Blackhawk may be 9 or 10 inches shorter.
All I can offer is if you want to run it you will likely need to re rig for it.Jim

Weren't Blackhawks only rated for 400hp or 400 ft-lbs?
Let's just go ahead and make America great again!

Since you own it and it wouldn't cost anything but a days effort you could just try it. The boat will either like it or not.

A fellow I used to know had an Eliminator Daytona, 25 or 26? At any rate, his boat went a lot faster when he changed from Bravo to Daytona. Sadly he died, so I can’t get details.
