Xr6 lower unit
Have a 1993 XR6, 4-1/4" lower unit, clean freshwater unit, 20" RH, 1:78 gears, new seals. Part #1674-814247-C.

is that ratio common? i have 2 lowers. a 175 and 200. both from the 80's the 175 is 2.0. measured the 200 and got around 1-3/4. so 1.78 is close. fairly sure it is not the 1.87 which is the other common ratio. thanks.

The 1.78 only came in the XR4 and XR6 4.25” small cases. The regular 4.75” case was usually 1.87 but could be 1.75 (my 200XS sporty) or 2:1
