I’ve seen photos of a demon possessed Garden Weasel, does that count?

Not like I'm going to get in my little George Jetson zip mobile and drive off and leave the planet behind. We can't even make it back to the moon in 50 years let alone going to Mars. Not my problem.

Actually it's the collapsing and rebounding outer mag fields, we sit and wait and using highly excited e orbitals and planar magnetics we grab an expanding field and slingshot pushing our eyeballs into our head.

The eyeballs pushed to the back of our skulls seems to be the part most people leave out of the whole interstellar travel issue. How do you safety accelerate and decelerate a human body for the speeds needed to make the trip? It’s fun to think of methods for very high top speed but most of them result in people becoming a gooey paste on a bulkhead.

Yeah it's seldom the fall that kills you, it's the sudden de acceleration.
We'll just have to compress the distance to be traveled and remain fairly stationary in respect.

But that's silly, and probably the least of our problems... if you accelerate at 1g (so there is normal "gravity" on the ship) you would reach the speed of light (which we will never do) in about a year.

A Tesla S-Plaid can accelerate faster than that, and your eyeballs will be fine!

So, at 1g after probably a month... you would be coasting (or slowly decelerating at 1g).
