Ideas on how to fill gap at back of boat cover to prevent pests from getting in?
Wasn't sure where to post this, as none of the other subforums made sense, so hopefully OK here.
Checkmate 21' Pulsare with a good setback for the outboard. Boat is kept outdoors under a pole barn and I have a nice cover for the boat itself. Problem Im having is the gap at the back of the cover due to the splash well, outboard control cables/fuel line, and of course the setback bracket. I cant get the cover tight enough to close the gap there and prevent racoons or cats from jumping up onto the setback bracket, then into the splashwell and under the cover up into the boat.
Anyone else ever run into this and have suggestions on how to maybe fill that gap to get the cover tighter and better sealed off?

Spray a mixture of castor oil and peppermint oil around your boat and barn!

I had some coons try to get in the Enforcer.I chained the pit bull up under the trailer. That worked with the coons but caused other problems.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think having the cover modified to snap closed around the back may be the best play for me.
