Grandson just got a bigger torque converter put in (4000 stall) and a new tune that will let/require him to run E85 gas, which is 104 octane. I think he'll have it back at the strip next weekend to see what numbers it will now put up. He's hoping to break into the high 10s. I'm thinking more like the low 11s. Still, way cool.

Do personal watercraft and bass boats still sell well? There are lots on the water here. Neither is good for taking out your family or friends.

wakeboard boats sell, and they are not cheap

wakeboard boats *sell*, and they are not cheap
*Finance* majority percentage of these are attainable through the same financing practices as the automotive sector, hooked up to a Denali that's also financed. Sitting with a bud a while back, looking at a Ford Raptor hooked up to a Malibu oil tanker, , he pointed, and said ""look, that's $200K sitting right there." I never financed a dime on any of my Allison's. And I don't think many others did either.

When I was in South Florida a few years ago for a visit, the center-console outboard-powered offshore boats dominated the ramp traffic.

Going back to the mid 1970's when I worked at a dealership in Memphis, the new Bass boat sales made our dealership thrive like printing money. Also, the shop was busy with older fishing engines. However, today, I don't know what is the sales leader.

Judging from the sheer number of boats on our lakes and what I see in the dealer lots. Pontoons by a big margin are the most popular new boat sold.

It’s pontoons everywhere around here. If you want a runabout you can pick one up really cheap.
