Turning 70 in May
Hi everyone, the need for speed on H2O never gets old, just letting you know. I have never driven competitively, however I did know a world champion, Ted Gryguc, may he rest in peace. Ted rigged a few boats for me over the years at Speedmaster Marine up here in Canada, the last one a lightweight Venom that Jim Contzen built for me down in Tennessee. Anyway, I'm just posting to say hello and that I'll be watching the "Hulls Up To 20" category for a new ride. Summers coming!

Welcome to the site. 70 is the new 40, at least that is what I am telling myself. I turn 70 this year and just purchased an Allison with a 200xs ROS. Getting old just not growing up. Good luck in your search for the perfect hull.

Iam 69. Have two stoker 22. v8 rude on one and twin 2.5's on the the other Did have a mirage with a 260+, 110 mph. Cracked the hull on a swell and sold it. I do regret that.
Always looking to go faster. Want to shave heads on the 2.5's, but dont know anybody in LA
Quick story. Twenty years ago on the river in Needles An old guy probably around 70 would fly by in a silverwing all aired out every 3day weekend. One day I jumped in the stoker and followed him into pirates cove. I parked next to him and wanted to talk boats and horsepower. He pulled a ice chest out of his boat and placed it on the beach. All of a sudden 10 to15 girls are running over to hug him. His ice chest was full of Jello shots. Never did talk to him just stood back and watched.
Kept getting after it. Its never enough.

Love your moniker Buzzin Dozen. It’s tempting but I think I’m on a different path this time around. But thanks, good to know just in case. Very pretty though!

Had not heard about Teds passing???
May he rest in piece.
A true gentleman.I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

68 here and a week ago I did a track day at Jennings GP, on a C14 Kawasaki
Near the end of the day, after a lapse of concentration, I did question myself, being out there doing a buck20 with a tight turn comming up
If I should come back, I'm not 100% since cancer treatment last fall, and if I don't feel better next year If I should come back at all.
I told myself I'm just going to take it easy and not push it,
that's untill i got passed by a friend...We have invented the world; WE see
