Sportmaster water pump question
Are all 2.5 Sportmaster gear case water pump outlets 0.75” ID? The reason I ask is I’m looking for a sleeve and seal for the 0.75” outlet and don’t want to order the wrong part. Thanks!

280 and maybe 260 uses a larger water tube, therefore different pump housing than others such as 225 promax. I can't say for sure if 3/4 is the standard or the larger option. I'm guessing 3/4 is the larger one. Somebody that knows for sure will probably probably chime in. Or you could check the water pump on a 280 vs a 225 promax on a parts site and see.

Now I would say, I have found the guide tube in aluminum as the plastic one is 65.00!
I bought this and have not used it yet in any of my applications but will be sooner or later. Seems to fit well in the housing but just not as snug as the plastic guide tube.

Thanks, RJ!! That was exactly the confirmation I needed. I hate to spend $65 on a piece of plastic, but I will since it’s needed.
