Question Strange Evinrude Intruder in Germany

This interesting Evinrude Intruder is located in Germany, and it's described as having "switchable exhaust". Looking up top it seems there is also a control rod for an air intake as well.

It seems to be an over-engineered butterfly-type exhaust diverter, but there are things there make it appear to be more involved.

Looks like a ski rope handle on top?

Seems the exhaust diverter is "automatic" based on exhaust pressure?

Let's just go ahead and make America great again!

You're right. I originally looked at this on my phone and that carbon fiber cowl of sorts is what caught my attention.

Air intakes on bottom front of cowling.

I want to know what’s in the hump on the top/back of cowling.

    Cool pc.
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

...if that thing has any horsepower at all, i guarantee he bends a propshaft every time he goes out. i have installed 5 & 6 blade props on new omc v-8 gearcases & that is what happened over & over again...

Curious, why would props with more blades be harder on a prop shaft than a 3 blade? My common sense tells me the opposite. But you have personal experience so guess I'm wrong.
