We had a 24 with triple 260s. The boat accelerated incredibly hard and did great going in a straight line but that was it. We were limited to 32 3 blade cleavers and 1.87 gear sets. We went 129 several times on radar but never broke the 130 mark. The fuel usage was retarded but it was beautiful sound and lots of fun.

My guess is that with 1.62 gears and propellers we have available today that we would see 140 and get there really fast. I keep having dreams of putting triple 450s on my new boat but cost and insurance stop me in my tracks.
