johnson stinger 75. Was wondering if anyone on here could give me some kind of estimate of it's worth? I have used a box cutter to cut around the bottom of the box and lifted the box 0ff for a peek and inside i found the engine, fuel tank and controls. any help would be appreciated

Post some pictures for 2 reasons:
    1. Because we all want to see this jewel!!!!
    2. It will help the more knowledgeable folks answer your question.

I am personally really interested in seeing pictures!!!

Almost as important as seeing pictures is hearing the back story on how you ended up with it!

Well, it is naked but doesn't really resemble Morgan Fairchild at all.

My dad was a hotrodder. Had a well known local lake racer/ omc dealer build him a bass boat of which he helped in the building of. They ordered the engine and it came before the boat was completed. The dealer ended up selling the boat to someone else. My dad was not happy and picked up the engine and stored it, same year I graduated high school. 1975. Lot of people do not believe this story, which is ok. It really doesn't matter to me if I sell it or not, but would rather see someone that will use it have it other than just sitting here collecting cobwebs.

This was my dad on the brochure with the v4 stinger, and also his sport e boat with the white 75 I always loved the orange ones.

That is way cool! I originally posted this engine as a short shaft, but was told by someone it wasnt. I am not a boat guy. I have a 12' jonboat that i fish out of. I do not have much knowledge of boating so I can' tell. My dad was always talking about the short shaft so I just took for granted that it was.

The short shaft is more desirable due to the gearcase. You could measure the length. It would be a fun motor on a VooDoo or similar hull
