    Hydrostream

Looks like a new guy bought the trademarks and is making small parts, and is going to make some of the hard to get parts.

Cant believe I am the first person on the site to see this. I had a Vector with an 15" 81 225 Merc warmed up a little. I miss that boat. Sold the boat to buy an XR2002, still have the 225 though.

Just a guess, but some dude trying to make some money off the brand. Probably doesn't have a Hydrostream boat! Just a guess on my part, could be completely wrong. But do not hold your breath for a boat to be built.

I bet if he said "I'm gonna make hydrostreams I have the molds for these 4 models" his phone doesn't ring off the hook.

I agree. But just buying the trademark and selling some items may not be long lived. But best of luck, and that cover looks good for the VKing.

He got beat up a bit in the facebook groups when he first bought the name and only planned to sell branded parts/merchandise.

My read of the video is that he will sell parts, but not build boats. It’s not as if new Hydrostream are flying out of John Spaeth’s shop. Do you think there is demand for new boats?

Hunter is local to me. Hes well into the hi po crowd, I trust his judgment to help this guy promote streams and sell parts, repair kits. I dont think this is being done for the little profit that it will produce. Its just for the guys that want to make their streams safe and strong again after 30 yrs of abuse. I like it....

John has the Vking molds among others and still makes metal flake boats. But I don't think anyone has ordered a Vking in years. They made a Vking bottom recently.

Why are you guys ragging on the Hydrostream guy? He seems cool, loves the brand, making parts, dreams for more. Whats not to like?

I do not dislike anyone, just a skeptic about more chit products being pushed out. Over the years we have seen some try and some have bought products that were less than advertised.

But after viewing the video I think it will be a help for sure and wish him luck to keep moving forward with plans. I want a Vking cover already! I think the rebuild kits is a great idea also. Having the structural parts premade and sent to someone rebuilding a hull saves a lot of time, it would have for me! Also would like to see the wedges he made to remove the hop.
