    1985 15hp Evinrude/Johnson carb

Looking for a 15hp carb to replace the stock 9.9 carb on the motor I am restoring. My Grandpa bought this new and I recently re-gained possession of it after my brother died. This motor has made a ton of memories for me so I will have it around till I can pass it down to my niece or nephew when they are old enough, but until then I want to get a little more power out of her to have some fun with.

Anywho, I am fairly certain that the motor is a 1985 Johnson.

    395509- Original 9.9 carb part#

391654- 15hp part number for the same yr. Let me know if you have anything, even if it needs a complete rebuild.

    Thanks, Schramer

Calling on all my OMC brethren on this one. Lots of memories for me on this one. It is soooooo much more than just a motor for us. Carb seems obvious, but any tips to improve on this motor would be greatly appreciated.
In reference to the Hydrostream Power Tour:

The only difference between the 9.9 and 15 were the carb and the exhaust pipe. Carb swap alone gets you more hp, but if you want the full 15 you gotta put the bell tuner in it rather than the square long tube that goes all the way to the lower unit. I probably have all the parts you need used, no nos

Hey look, I put together a 5hp upgrade kit! If only 5 hp was that easy to get on a 260!

Thats the 15 carb and pipe.
Below is a 9.9 exhaust vs. a 15 for comparison. I have the nos 9.9 pipe but only used 15s cause everyone wanted the 15 stuff. Surprised I had a carb really.
