Very Cool ! same year my dad was born . futuristic by even todays standards , makes me wonder what Howard Hughes thought

If I remember right, MB retired from racing after some devastating crashes. That was long time ago also as they have returned.

the game changer as i recall a Benz was around 200 and ran over a car doing 100 . the vid is on here somewhere

The Germans were bad ass. My 50 year old 911S had a top speed of 155 when new. I have had it over 135 several times, even with 108K on the clock. Still pulls hard.
