    Talking That's one BIG trout!

Here's a bit from the article:

The fish beat the old record by a whopping 6 inches.
At 36 inches long with a 21-inch girth, the cutbow is estimated to have weighed between 17 and 20 pounds. It topped the old length record, a 30-inch hybrid caught by Ryan Ivy on the Snake River in 2018, by 6 inches. After measuring the trout and snapping a couple of quick photos, Thomas released the fish.

Catch and release is the common practice these days with landing, weigh in and photo opp done in 1 min or less with digital cameras and scales. Now the fishing stories have changed to where anglers talk about how they landed the same big trophy fish and who will be next. A 58 inch Walleye was caught on lake Mil Lacs in MN in June. A 67 lb carp was caught in France in a lake developed specifically for these giants. Guided trips for the carp are booked 2 years in advance. BIG money!
