Yea .. muck racing will be releasing a 15" mid-section. Of course, they won't say when ..

I remember a year or two ago .. when it was mentioned @ the Cocoa Beach race that some fella's were working on building a prototype shorty 300r. Stu'nod put on his poker face and declared then there would be no need, that the factory would be releasing them soon ... Would it be politically incorrect if I called him a liar .. or maybe "soon" means different things, to different people ..

Chaz = still waiting on the coordinance to their rubber tree plantation ..

    P.S. Chaz = thinkin, Greg G. gets dibs on the first 225-250 horse / 400 lb / 4-poke / wiff wty / lawd knows .. he's been holdin his breath a longggggggg time ..

Ronnie, that pitcher was meant to display where the catalytic converter goes, once we go full-tard over here ..

They are at least 1” above the pad in picture. The 250R was lower due to a blown out water pump seal and I was running it as high as I could and still maintain decent pressure. Both are on hydraulic plates but they definitely are not buried. The big diameter sporty drives like crap if its too deep. I have no issues with it.

Showing a boat from the hind quarter with the motor tilted up so far that the cowl's lower body line parallel with the ground, does nothing to show the height of the 250 and 300 on page two are set at one inch above the pad .. but if it makes you happy, then OK ..

I reckon I could drag a tape down it if it makes you feel better? Other than that your just gonna have to take my word for it. However I sell and set these things up everyday and have nothing to hide These were not taken at WOT, so your not going to see the full effect. Click image for larger version.

so half the work is already done!
but seriously maybe a custom trim braquet o
getting rid of the the exhaust through the gearcase with a ball valve on the exhaust
aluminium plates over the sides for reinforcement
but it just seems a shame to set a cutter on a brandnew engine

Welp, I'm not lookin for effect, to see a commercial .. etc.

The 250 boat ... page #2 tilt pin in below the grab rail = buried.

The 250 boat ... page #3 tilt pin is above the grab rail = jacked-up.

As stated, your not wide open (why not) so I doubt it's jacked up to WOT height in either picture. As we both know, a V-hull will barely break over the top, let alone ride at a slow pitcher - takin speed with the prop hidden behind the transom ..

    In any event, it's not a 15" mid ..

But good for you guys .. buildin new boats to match the new motors. as Greg G can tell ya .. they just don't build motors for the older boats ..

So how much freeboard (OK commercial time) did ya have to add to keep the shaft C/L from bein 8" below the bottom .. ?

Chaz I thought they looked burried but I'll take the guys word on it. Maybe the new XB transom is a lot taller. I have a feeling if that motor was set at that height on my GS it would be way below the pad. RR

The big bass bash was at Lake of the Ozarks again this weekend. Very few two strokes but the guy running his OMC with the noise slots cut into the mid sure did sound cool. Lots of Phoenix, Bass cat, and big Ranger hulls out there with Mercury 250s that looked best suited to run this water against us in the tri-toon. There were an estimated 1600 participating boats entered. Its so much fun "every bass boat to race an old pontoon while on their way to the next hole".

All I can say is that would take huge cannon balls to hold wide open for any length of time.

Joe .. I want to see the ribbon you got for finishing in the top 1000 ..

I rekkon it's all in where ya look. The Jasper/Hixon thread shows ... no porkchops in one direction. And only two, in the other ..

In the early seventy's, I worked at a Kawasaki dealership. I can't count how many Kerker headers and 117 main jets I installed on brand new Z-1 900's.

With the porky's ... you are the only one that has had the balls to do a 8 into 1 exhaust ...

Times they are a changin .. these days more boys want to be changed into girls than want to change the performance of their hooptie ..

Ronnie .. the hot side is all finished ...

I felt that it wasn't my place to say anything about that ..

That turbo pic ... was really more for Greg G.

Brother's been holdin his breath so long ... he's turnin burple ..

I ran a 3.4L / four choke on the Borg Warner match bot, easy 500HP @ 8psi .. and all the dot's are in the islands ..

BTW, very nice talking video's on your channel .. isn't it time to populate the fuel cells ..
