Now if we could get them to make a n/a 15 inch 400R. Who wants to re-power with the same size engine.

Merc racing makes a V8 with a 12" mid. The 360hp APX, so I believe a 15" mid is plenty doable and will come out sooner than later.

No kidding! Where is it in that pic? Motor looks dropped way low for "photoshoot". RR

Both are on hydraulic plates, the black/gray boat had a blown water pump gasket so it was a little lower but the red boat should be at least 1” above if not more.

Would have guessed they were lower than that. Looks like they work out decent on the new Alli's. At least the new XB's will tote one. No such luck for its hundreds of predecessors. RR

They run great on the big Ally. Our XB-21 Prosport 300R ran 108 on the limiter, XB-21 2+2 300R 104, XB-21 2 seater 103. My current XB-21 2 seater is at 107 with a 450R fully loaded to fish with a trolling motor on the nose.

No doubting or disappointments with Darris Allison. Just Mercury. RR

15" inch motors are coming for racers 100% but its not top on Mercs. priority list so a definitive date is unknown. They are busy enough trying to keep up with manufacturing 20" 300s and 450s. Another 8000 sq. ft. addition is in process at Mercury Racing to help meet demands and continue future product development.

Well hopefully they are at least thinking about something in the 250hp 400lb range. Doubt it but I will keep hoping. RR
