    23 Eliminator Daytona

A friend of mine ( Bill Schiltz ) is selling his mint 1984 23 ft Daytona with triple 2.4’s. Anyone interested text me and I‘ll get you in touch with Bill for pictures and more info - I was in it 20 years ago and have never felt that kind of acceleration. $40,000. Boat is located in Crosslake, MN.

    Wow! I remember that!

23ft triple Lake drag boat. Dominated at the time along with his buddy Marv. I think it made into at least one magazine write up

Pretty sure I saw it at Blarney on a Thursday night along with Marv's Ally. What a show! Those were fun times!

    Thanks for posting.

Russ will be posting pictures shortly ....

So roughly twenty years ago ( if any of you fellas remember the “MN Hotboat Club” ), I had rolled into Moonlight Bay in a STV Euro with a 2.5 Merc strapped to the back ....

Bill pulls in and asks if I wanna go for a ride - “Dirty J Ferrell” & I jumped in and we idle out ... Bill hits it and buried a 120 MPH speedo as I’m yelling “hit the down button” - lol

    Good Stuff !

I remember Marv Jorgenson well! He brought his triple 23' boat down to Merritt Island, Florida and raced my good friend Richard Marriotti. Richard had a twin 23' with super_speedmasters which ran 117mph. I watched the race from the shore and although Marv out accelerated Richard it was a pretty good race on the top end (considering Richard only had twin 2.5 Bridgeports). I wound up buying Richard's boat a month later and brought it up to Candlewood Lake, CT. The boat ran like a bat out of hell but you had to be careful when trimming because if you got it too high it was almost impossible to bring it down again. LOL! I loved that boat ... and I am sure that's this boat would be an incredible ride on a lake.

Is Bill Schlitz's boat Marv's old boat? In either case, I love the boat! GLWS

I’m almost positive Bill’s boat was not Marv’s

I came across this boat on Facebook Market place and couldn't believe it still existed without ever being upgraded with say 2.5's in the 1990's or with current 4-strokes. Back in the late 80's both of these boats were on Shawano Lake in WI because the owner of Eliminator Boats of "Shawano" was having a party, that was a great day!! This boat belongs in a museum!!

It's just parked in his storage building - always fun to look at when I bring boats over - Bill stores them for me. That thing is such a wicked monster but hasn't been in the water in several years.
