    Mercury Laser 220hp need a Mechanic to help me

    Hello, I spoke with someone a while ago that knew Merc V6 well in NH does any one know the name of a great Merc Mechanic in NH or Mass. I can tow the boat and Engine to them.

    Having issues with getting the EFI fuel pump to Pump!!

    Take the fuel pump out, get it into an ultrasonic cleaner. Leave it over night, enjoying the Yamaha Carb Cleaning solution in the Ultrasonic cleaner.
    Bump the fuel pump backwards and forwards by reversing the polarity to it, most times you will get it free.
    Once free, run the engine on Mercury Quicksilver Quickleen to help clean further.
    Run the Quickleen often and do not let it stand for long, once they have frozen once, they seem more prone to Freeze up again

    Got it bypassed

    I wired the pump on and the new pump came right to life. I was told the ECU stops sending signal ~ so hard wire the - negative ~ Going to try running it Today

    use any "purple" wire from tha motor harness as tha + for tha pump.. - anywhere on tha block.. it will come on with tha key..
