    yes 1647 9147 plain ,c and c1 are all big bearing take it to the bank u can borrow all you can haul on it . I ve torn down and rebuilt 100's and 100's and 100"s and 100's and 100's

    I think I have a C3 non ratcheting 2:1. I think C3, but the 280 with a 22P did not hurt it last weekend so all good for me in 800 feet.

    and further 1647 9147 c2,c3c4 are non ratchet i have never ever seen a non ratchet without those 3 numbers! plain ,c and c1 are big b and a ratchet just what i found in 30 /40 years, preloads are big bearing too i did only lowers forever before i did motors that i got on in the 90s

    I have reached out to Ronnie on here as Transomstand recommended, where he's on Long Island and I'm in Mass, a drive is doable and where I don't need it till next summer time isn't an issue. Appreciate the info though, nice to have options.

    Update: Got my lower unit back from Ron's Custom Fab last week (Ronnie) and you were correct, was not disappointed and the fact that he was texting me update photos of the progress made it a very good experience dealing with him. Great guy....thanks S&F for the recommendation.
