I was watching pad bottom Allisons race in 1968 and I am sure Paul Allison had built them years before that. My question is, when did Carniti start building those engines? Looks a lot like an OMC.

went to my first european race while in army in '66 or'67 and carniti's were plentiful. met carniti brothers at a race in '65. they were so impressed with my merc500/critchfield, they showed up at the shop in orlando on monday and showed pictures of their rigs running in europe. they were runnin tunnels back then with their 2 cyl 45hp engines.
