I remember in the mid 1970's Ranger bass boats was the Cadillac of bass boats.

Dealerships in the south where selling them to weekend fishermen, and the BASS pro guys were using them too. Ranger boats was leading the manufacturing competitors in market share.

And in this video were told when the founder Forrest Wood sold the company, and after multiple different company owners the brand and sales slid downward.

A buddy of mine bought a new ranger last year, they are not what they used to be thats for sure.
