They are some good painters but in the end it's still just paint. I'm a gelcote guy to be honest. What will a painted boat look like in 30 years.

Likely pretty good, with the best detail guys on the payroll and 99% of their life spent indoors in a climate controlled building.

So my buddy asked me to to go with him to pick up a car he just had painted. As always .. the paint was flawless, looked wet and three feet deep. We dropped off his daily driver back at my place and took the hooptie out profilin around town.
Naturally we had to stop somewhere for lunch. Going up and down the rows of parked cars ... he was looking for a spot close to the restaurant where he could take up two spots. Not having any luck, we either had to take our chances up close with one spot .. or park way out in bum-fug.
While still looking .... I said, see that shopping cart .. go-head and hit it .. Get it over with .. put the first dink in it, so you don't lose any sleep over keeping it perfect.

Those boats are gorgeous, but not very practical. People won't respect them as much as the owner or fans love love them.

Does anyone know what paint supplier or type of paint Skater uses. I am restoring an old boat and was considering Alexseal, but color choices are limited.
