AS I recall when I took it apart there were 4 steel washers on each stud, so that was probably just over 3/8"
See here theres 2 different spacers depending on stud length

Thank you. It looks great by the way! I have the washers in there now to get it on the clamp but will make an aluminum spacer.

Will have some numbers for you soon as my next race is 8/13. Just need to keep her under 87 mph so I don't go too fast in the UMPBA Lake Racer 2 class (76-85 MPH with 2 MPH breakout, so max is 87.0 mph, 87.1 and you went too fast and lose that race).

I made my own at 1/2” and they’re a tad too long, but it’s never been an issue….been running that way for 15 years. 3/8” is probably right on

My stack of washers is exactly 3/8. I think I will run it like that a few times and pull the lower and see if it is waring the driveshaft splines.

    thanks again guys.

With no power head and just the 3 bolts at the back of the plate into the mid there is a little bit of play and the original spacers are not available so just trying to get it correct. I agree, would be hard to have it that misaligned as you stated, but I can mess chit up with the best of them!

got ya. i had to add spacers, because when i tightened upper mounts [2 long bolts] the bottom plate[adaptor] wanted lift up at the rear.. like somethin out of square. maybe the ridgeback mid designed for a 1pc plate im thinkin. the added washers helped.
