Chicago residents all have the same plan lol....There is no need to fear, Biden says "everyone just relax, its all going to be just fine".
In summary, if you listen to him from the 10:14 minute mark on its all there. Offer a service that people will always be willing to pay a percentage of their disposable earnings for, be self employed so nobody can tell you what you are going to make.....Don't trust a currency that is issued by the government "this is why bitcoin and crypto will take off again and hit records in the next 18 months. The biggest thing that affects the majority and didn't get mentioned is DON'T CARRY DEBT. You think your new car payment is high now, wait until your hours are cut and then deal with it. Paying for the stuff you did yesterday when things were good turn really bad when things are bad.

I bought one new car in my life... And that was a mistake.
I bought my house with a 30 year loan... My friend made fun of me because of the interest... But I paid twice and even more on the principle every month that I could. I used the long loan as a buffer in case I got in a bind.
Oh, thinking of buying a new car.... LOL!

Newest I have is an '09 3500 work truck, and it has well over 200K on it and a new Jasper engine!
Long as I have power, I am good. I do need to buy a genny though. Plenty of canned goods, etc.
Anyone have experience with the dual fuel, gas/propane? I have 20 or so 7 gallon propane bottles I can fill that I use to use on the farm.
Speaking of tuna, ever tried this? https://naturalcatchtuna.com/product...34049831141508 I have two cases in my pantry.
I'll never eat that other crap (Starkist, etc) again!

people in the rural areas are going to in a general sense be OK. most of us know how to hunt, fish and grow things already. its the big cities that have to worry.

we have a 9.5 kw duel fuel , never ran gas through it just propane thinking this crap gas these days could cause problems down the line. we get yellowfin in olive oil at costco , the oil keeps it from being dry tasting . have 5 propane tanks am told hold the equivalent to 5 gallons of liquid gas each. going to start on big bags of charcoal, it never goes bad. hope never to need this stuff but have experinced back to back hurricanes so better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it
https://www.genovaseafood.com/produc...a-in-olive-oil , good stuff

Used to run a lot of propane vehicles. The stuff works great, but dual fuel not so much. To do a propane conversion properly you want to have the cylinder heads prepped properly with new seats and valves. I belive its inconnel they suggest or you’ll burn the valves up prematurely. Cant run cats with propane either they dont play well together. A more aggressive cam and shave the heads to bump compression will cover the power loss gas has. The last one i had like this went 500k miles. 2500 sbc stick pick up. Ran great even when i sold it.
tried a couple dual fuel and burned the motors down. They dont blow up, just become so gutless they wouldnt even reach proper hwy speeds anymore.Hydrostream dreamin

LF, I was talking a genny, not a vehicle. And I get you on the vehicle. Either one or the other!
Running PP, the oil will look like it was just put in even after a several hundred hours of use. With synthetic oil the motor will last almost forever.

Keith, the hurricane analogy is a good one.
I was down there for Charlie and did good to day #3 when I ran out of beer!
God was listening though, and open the bars, w/a curfew.
I cooked on my propane grill for all 3 days.
Currently have 3 tanks but need more.
Ive been thinking of water lately.
Have seen systems of stacked 55 gl drums fed by down spouts that I like.
We also have a pool so as long as it’s full.
Boosts comments are good and I would say, accurate.
We are in 3 acres surrounded by farmland and think for most my neighbors, probably not much would change
Im not a hunter but next door neighbor is and promises to teach me when ready
He uses shotgun, muzzle loader and bow, so…….I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.
I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Barricading your house is a top priority if you want to sleep. I plan on having one guard outside at all times. Making plans for a fire is good too. Water hoses placed around the perimeter. Cops and fire will prob not show up. Antfa types like fire bombs, so you might like to give them some back. Plan on that too.

I would stay away from anything but plastic drums , and look at a water purifier , they make small hand held ones for backpacking or your pool water and just boil it on the grill. 3 acres , you should be fine , plant and can some stuff , my Grandmothers shelly beans tasted so good it would make you want to cry

We’re working on the gardens.
Just built mamma three more (six total) 4’ x 4’ elevated gardens and a 10’ x 20’ tilled garden w/corn, that we expand each yr.
They elevated box’s are on their 4th crop of lettuce!
Like to have it 4x the size.
Mamma is retired now so she is all over the gardens!
She starts every morning walking the door saying, “I’m a farmer”
