I've watched many Mercury 4 stroke go under, pickled, and brought back to service. I feel that there will always be gremlins in those motors once they have gone under..

there are hundreds of connectors that were not meant to get wet no matter how much CRC spray you put on them

let's see how they run in this weekend's races

I notice out here in Asia when a 4 stroke goes under in the salt the dealers want to do a full electrical replacement so the engines are usually scrapped, this is mostly 100hp and below as the common sunk engine.
( of course the carby engines just keep running)

Michigan city race Super Stock just ended

    Glad everyone is ok.

LPC lost a motor. Did the motor sink or still attached on the LPC boat?

My well connected spy tells me that the motor didn't go to the bottom. It was pulled to the dock via the tow ... errr ... tie bar ...

Chaz = thinkin, glad me ole $hiz-box has two-strokes and a wooden transom --->

I remember seeing the port side sinking a little bit

Was there water intrusion into the hull from the incident?

Man LPC were flying on that course today before the incident

Was the incident contact or just the motor coming off on its own? Were can race results be viewed if one missed the live stream? Thanks

Maybe the transom skins should have Kevlar in the schedule?

I might go back to Marine plywood on my transom build

Be interested looking in that hole to see how it was built,

Noli you went over kill on yours, did not want to say anything but I never heard of anyone using two 2 inch sheets to built a transom unless you'll have 4-5 motors back there.

Kevlar is not the answer, carbon is strength and I like aluminum on the inside because of bolt hole compression, but that whole section is gone... CRAZY
