    bleed hoses v200 merc

    hi guys just wondering what you all use to replace the bleed/transfer hoses as genuine ones are 2mm inside diam and im hoping to use 3mm inside diam blue silicon performance automotive stuff,has anyone used silicon hose to replace the gen merc stuff? any input is appreciated.

    I've considered using non-merc line, like tygon, in the past but ended up going with the merc hose. Blue would look nice, let us know how it works.

    Going up 50% in size will be sketchy. They need to fit really snug. It's also VERY important that you're using a fuel/oil rated hose.

    Pro marine sells the various sizes. Tygon looks nice but not available in every size.

    I use the Tygon in yellow so I can see the oil inside it. I also put a small zip tie at each connection
    1990 Shadow bass boat w/ 2.4 200 Merc. Totally resto'd boat and love it!

    I use 3/32 blue methanol rated hoses. Look nice, don't get stupid soft over time...don't need ties on merc barbs cause they fit super tight.
